Information

Hanako’s Teahouse 2

The organic and sensual formed teahouse is made of all natural materials and is transportable. The design of the teahouse is the result of a collaboration among Hanako Miwa and two architects, Alex H. Lee and Rikitoshi Yamakawa.

A special tea ceremony event was held at Hanako's Teahouse 2 with her ceramic art objects at the Clos Lucé, the castle where Leonardo da Vinci spent the last years of his life. Hanako's Teahouse 2 was made after her visit to the Clos Lucé and to the exhibition of the Virgin and Child with St. Anne at the Louvre. The design of the teahouse was inspired by Leonardo's bedroom.
