"Love Lotus" was exhibited at Gallery Saitoan in Hagi. The garden often represents mind of universe in Japan. This tiny inner garden was inspired by nature in Hagi where I was born. I hope you will enjoy the mystical world which resides in plants and moss.

Hanako Miwa

My first solo exhibition, "Myo", took place at Fujii Gallery, Tokyo.

Myo is a Buddist term that is very difficult to translate, but I like to think of it as "wonder," or the mystic harmony of the natural world --a concept beyond logic or words. I understand myo as an illusional landscape of both darkness and clarity that I attempt to expose through the sublime and sensual beauty of the lotus flower.
